Niko Marks, one of the original artists from the Detroit techno movement, releases a new album on Carl Craig’s Planet E Communications.

A giant of the scene, Planet E has been responsible for some of 90s dance music’s most influential releases, from the likes of Moodymann, Terrence Parker and Plastic People. Producer, keyboardist and singer, the multi-talented Niko Marks has crafted a collection of smooth soulful house and clean chugging beats. ‘Soul Meter’ and ‘Day of Knowing’ pay homage to the early years of uplifting house, while ‘Crank Shaft’ and ‘Many Other Places’ take things into the present day and the early hours.
