Home of Nils Frahm, the London based Erased Tapes label have been making their mark on the experimental music scene since 2007. This new release, courtesy of Peter Broderick and David Allred, serves as a deeply introspective album made up of nothing but a violin, an upright bass and both musicians’ voices. There is a hint of Celtic-inspired melancholy on tracks such as ‘Two Otters’ and the following piece ‘Hey Stranger’ brings to mind some twisted hybrid of Leonard Cohen and William Basinski. Full of minimalist overtones aplenty; Find the Ways should appeal to fans of Arthur Russell (LP closer ‘Robert, Please’ reminds us of ‘Losing My Taste for the Night Life’!)
