Scottish contemporary electronic music powerhouse Lucky Me release the first LP from their 2014 signing Steven Shade aka Sevendeaths. Concrete Misery was a collection of experimental drone pieces, released with an accompanying print and t-shirt. Remote Sympathy sees a proper vinyl issue, but it’s interesting to note the similarity in art direction to Shade’s last venture with the label. Sonically it’s a similar affair too, with the Terry Riley-esque hypnosis of ‘Journey to E’ reminding us of recent Koreless material. A slight departure from the usual Lucky Me fare, but then again, LM are a label that pride themselves on a diverse array of inspiration.
