Following on from their retrospective of the French avant-garde wave scene, Punk 45 Les Punks: The French Connection, Soul Jazz bless us with some lost recordings from Kas Product. With three albums spanning 1982 through to 1986, like many other bands of the time the duo utilised drum machines, synths and tape to craft remarkably accessible songs. Fierce vocals, rough and hypnotic rhythms and full-on guitar work to boot. Think Suicide, Cabaret Voltaire etc. Whether previously acquainted with Kas Product or not, these 11 previously unheard tracks should hold some appeal if you’re a sucker for 80s wave.
