Following on from the sold out Cygnus side, Fundamental outshine themselves with this icy session from an unsung hero of the acidic electro underground, Luke Eargoggle. Spread across two discs, Snow In June / Data Bara shows both sides to the enigmatic producer by utilizing his skills both solo and as half of Faceless Mind (the group he founded with Johan Inkinen).
Essentially a full length LP from Eargoggle, Snow In June / Data Bara features some of the most jagged jackers to emerge from him and the Fundamental label yet. In the grand tradition of electro, there is a healthy injection of stargazing techno within the grooves, the two sections show a pinpoint electro synthesis that sounds like it was cooked up in the same lab that Heinrich Mueller used to realize the paranoid funk that was his Rephlex classic Zwischenwelt. While the floor focused moments offer some serious weight prospects, there is a strong machine-led structure to the music that places it nicely in the lineage of Legowelt and the Hard Wax new wave of (Eargoggle's sometime) Acido imprint.
Made in an edition of 100 double white vinyl LPs housed inside a thick plexiglass jacket, these are sure not to hang about...
