New cassette label NCA showcase a 60 min collaborative effort from Los Angeles native Ashtrejinkens and Tokyo based Ko Saito. All skewed drums and wild synth meanderings in the Werk Discs vein on side one and equal parts dreamy, equal parts sample heavy club ready on side two. Interesting, DIY sonics for those who like to dig a little deeper. There is an element of fun here that is palpable enough to warrant repeated listens, and indeed imagine the creative process behind this mysterious cassette. Think the Vlek or Harmonia crews, but with a techno edge!
