Sun Ra archivist extraordinaires Art Yard present this limited 180g issue of I Roam The Cosmos, recorded at Slug’s Saloon way back in 1972. Bang in the middle of the mystical jazz mavericks career, the two side-long tracks on offer here feature top players such as Marshall Allen and Kwame Hadi freaking out on trumpet, sax and flute whilst Sun Ra works the keyboards. Previously unreleased, these sessions are worth hearing whether a serious devotee to the free jazz sound or an inquisitive mind seeking out some far out sonics.
