Orchids & Wasps is the debut LP from sonic sound artist Gil, coming backed with a vaportrail remix from Knives cover star J. G. Biberkopf.

This is some pretty hard stuff, treading a tightrope between Ed Rush & Optical style drum & bass moodiness and the more techno end of the Venetian Snares spectrum. The real deal here has to be J. G. Biberkopf's stunning rework. Picking up the pieces from the shattered mirror that was the second chapter reflection of his Ecologies series, his take on Onset pitches the kinda hyper-realism footwork 2.0 of Rian Treanor & Jlin into an icy lake of crystallised grime techno.
