Demdike Stare mark a surprise return with the industrial jungle of Wonderland.

Following on from the test pressing series, Wonderland sees Demdike continue to excavate the ghosts of classic jungle, grime & techno styles of Photek, classic Hard Wax techno and the legions of unknown producer grime dubplates that filled early 00s Slimzee sets.

Where the TP series delivered knockout blow after knockout blow, Wonderland is a full form long player that acts as an hour-long piece that tilts more towards the home listener. While the traces of early Demdike: film score techno and radiophonic ambience are present, Wonderland really pushes ahead the sense of urban displacement and speaker shredding rage that has come to characterise these industrial years of the group.

Distilled into nine tracks, to our ears Wonderland is the culmination of many transatlantic flights spent skipping the iPod shuffle between Milanese's Peggy Flynn remix, Scott Walker & DJ Sprinkles. Which to our ears is no bad thing at all.
