EQUALITY NOW closes out a sterling year for rave deconstructionist Peder Mannerfelt.
Following on from his fellow P M Produktion album Controlling Body, Peder Mannerfelt has basically owned 2016 with stunning 12" after stunning 12" inc. hot zingers for his self ran imprint, Hinge Finger & a live transmission of the beat you can't defeat on the Berlin Atonal boutique imprint.
The three tracks he dons for Numbers showcase the different styles Peder has turned his hand to, and conquered by all accounts: Equality Now transfixes the sort of hi-end synth work favored by the new wave of Warp trance voyeurs Evian Christ & Lorenzo Senni with a stompin' 4 x 4 that we can just see tearing the roof off Sub Club when dropped at the right volume. Breaking Pattern adapts a footwork style bump with more of that glossy synth goo that makes it an irresistible swinger. But the reeeeel deal here is the epic Echopsace style closer Rules, Rope & Strings, perfectly attuned hazy summer sunset vibes with a bowl of freshest green to move things down a gear.
This guy has owned 2016 and if you are unfamiliar with his stuff, there is nothing more we can say really other than get acquainted.
