Absolutely brilliant mind bending live recordings of Manchester (almost super!) group that featured among its ranks 808 State's Graham Massey, Howard Walmsley, Ken Hollings, Eddie Sherwood, Colin Seddon &most likely some other musicians lost in the mist of time.

Formed in 1978 to improvise the soundtrack to a 16mm experimental film named Biting Tounges, the original group/lineup performed at Tony Wilson's Factory night at The Russel Club in Hulme. The group cemented and went onto last until 1984. Very much a product of pre-through-post-punk Mancunia in which they delved, Biting Tounges pulled influence from the winter grey surroundings of the industrial working class town to which they were bestowed.

These recordings are brilliant echoes that in reflection could be long forgotten and probably lost members of The Fall being mixed live by a dope-addled Martin Hannett down Strawberry.
