Making his first solo release of 2016 as well as a debut on the undeniably classy, Bristol based, No Corner label, is the always exciting Hodge. The story goes that after hearing Hodge play ‘Body Drive’ as part of a standout set at Freerotation, the guys behind the label decided its fate couldn’t simply be harboured to cassette, and so instead they pressed it up on a 12” to allow it to make its rightful impact on the ‘floor. The other tracks are more introspective, lacking in the oomph that eventually takes over ‘Body Drive’ though would be no less powerful if played at the right moment.
