Christmas comes early with Ghostly's deluxe reissue of the early '00s ambient electronic masterclass Fahrenheit Fair Enough by Telefon Tel Aviv, unavailable on vinyl since its 2004 double vinyl edition and currently racking up big numbers for the handful of people looking to part with an original.

When it first dropped, Fahrenheit Fair Enough was a product of an underground sound that was equally at home with the metal and post-rock of NiN & Tortoise but also the glitch-tronics of Boards Of Canada & Oval. Fusing sounds of sequenced techno with an instrumentation that saw the group propelled to a status that vastly outweighed their, to date, minimal discography as a group.

Very much a product of its time, Fahrenheit Fair Enough in the present day sounds like a side of techno we have yet to arrive at. While it predating the post-dubstep electronic melancholy of Kuedo's Knives imprint & the minimal wave discipline of Tropic Of Cancer (with whom half of Telefon Joshua Eustis currently plays live with). The duo's knowledge and interest in more traditional instruments gives the record an otherworldly contemporary feel when listened to again now, twelve years since it was last commercially available.

Fahrenheit Fair Enough is an almost secret cornerstone of early '00s computer music, beloved by those in the know and set to spark up imaginations and memories of the future once again.
