Bleep

Named after the ominous family of birds that includes Ravens and Crows, Corvus is a riveting listen, built with vigorous field recordings and soft, brooding melodies reminiscent of Recondite’s masterfully producer album Hinterland. The EP is sandwiched between two versions of the same track, ‘Capable’. The opening and original version is constructed with skeletal drums, ever-evolving rhythms and minor key melodies, the kind of which twinkle so sweetly, tears will appear in your eye. The closing version, a remix from Ricardo Donoso Clemency, removes the drums completely, replacing them with ornately laced strings and ghostly ambient grooves. It’s a release of truly gloomy beauty.
