Returning to Ostgut Ton for their second full-length, the duo consisting of Sam Barker and Andreas Baumecker, remain always and completely committed to the club, while maintaining a listenability to their output many others in the field fail to achieve. The album title, Turns, has meaning on several levels. Firstly, in relation to the ups and downs experienced by the pair in their recent past. And musically, almost all the tracks presented take a turn around the mid-point, while the structure of the album means the middle track ‘Technogate’ acts as an interlude between two halves. Though nowhere does the music take a turn for the worse.
