The founding (and sole) member of Portland thrash metal outfit Toxic Holocaust delivers an unexpected record packed with nine budget horror movie inspired dark ambient cuts. Reminiscent of cult DIY synth records such as Scandinavian project Grannens Forflutna, Equinox is an album that on the surface may appear slightly naive or playful but deep down channels something fully referential. The brooding atmospheres in ‘Eclipse’ make it the track for us.
