The inimitable Nick Klein crops up on Long Island Electrical Systems (Simoncino, Silent Servant) with four rough-as-hell techno jams. Tourism Industry is an EP that revels in the sounds that others would shun. Peaking drum machines, in-the-red synths and hyper-sidechained mixes make the likes of ‘The Party Has Been Over’ and ‘Correspondence With An Actress’ as confrontational as they are danceable. On closer ‘Every Body’ it sounds like Klein’s synths can take no more and have resorted to pumping out abrasive noise in protest.
