As the title suggests, this new offering from San Francisco based Matrixxman gathers four rigid drum tracks. Released via the rapidly expanding Dekmantel label, Sector I appears to be the first in a series of records from the ghetto house influenced producer. Stark, bass heavy and as reminiscent of early grime tracks as it is DJ Funk’s ‘Knock Knock’, this 12” will no doubt prove to be an incredibly useful dj tool for those who like to play across the board. Dekmantel have managed to put out an impressive array of records since debuting with the Juju & Jordash EP back in 2009, this Matrixxman being the latest addition.
