Ambient leaning sound design from Los Angeles based artist Yann Novak, new on Touch just in time for winter. Think Tor Lundvall, Leyland Kirby and Suso Saiz jamming together. Taking reference from Adolf Loos’s 1913 manifesto, ‘Ornament and Crime’, Novak dwells upon ideas of materialism and the morality of Western culture through one extended, carefully constructed sound collage. Clocking in at fourty nine minutes in total, Ornamentation is the perfect accompaniment to long walks across barren, icy cityscapes. Time to dig out the walkman.
