Niagara are one of the few artists associated with Principe Discos getting wider recognition from labels elsewhere, having released on From The Depths, based out of London and their own Ascender imprint in 2015. Though they make a welcome return to Principe with four tracks that hybridise jazz and funk with house and techno that could only come from Lisbon. Opener ‘Asa’ is heavy on keys, with clattering drums and other percussion dosing on the rhythm. ‘Amarelo’ is a physical and expansive track, with hisses building up into oblivion and a funky flecked guitar line getting ever more intense.
