Kompakt co-founder and minimal techno pioneer Wolfgang Voigt presents the soundtrack of his new audio-visual project with Berlin-based video artist Gerhard Mantz. Apodiktische Gewissheit arrives via his Profan platform and coincides with the release of a Gas box set, honouring the visionary work of his ambient techno alias.

On Apodiktische Gewissheit, Voigt's forward-thinking attitude is revealed through the clever way in which he translates the psychedelic geometric forms of the video into sound: while sticky subs represent the steady frame within which the shapes morph into something else, the synth phrases are arranged in a continuous flow. Only altering them ever so slightly, Voigt creates an ambiguous soundscape, effectively toying with our expectations.
