Stepping up for his first release on the future-facing Bristol imprint, Durkle Disco, is the burgeoning London producer, Otik. The low-key east London referencing ‘Acne Downs’ EP tilts its hat to the darker edges of UK Garage and 2-step, with an industrial moodiness, where elements aren’t so crisp and the vocal loops are smothered in filters. Caski, one of the leading proponents in the slowed down 2-step sound is brought in for remix duties on the title track, giving the percussion more prominence and the vocal hella choppy. It’s a EP set to put a screwface and a sweat on every raver brukkin’ out the darnce.
