Absolutely startling return from one of LuckyMe's most elusive operators, Jacques Greene follows up the Phantom Vibrate EP (which is still on heavy rotation 2 years later here!) with the glowstick swing RNB of Afterglow / You Can't Deny.
Afterglow strides out in front with a slowly awakening build up of drone-like synths recalling the stone cold Concreté Misery of Sevendeaths, before erupting into a solid garage swing. Its woodblock drums and Hyph Mngo synths building up around a seductive vocal lick that is both heavy-hearted yet achingly ecstatic.
On the flip, You Can't Deny picks up where Phantom Vibrates questioning house gear left off with an infectious outsider tempo beat before those vocals kick in, coming across like the answers never heard from No Excuse, it would be criminal if this doesn't become an end of year RNB & house cross over, perfectly hitting the sweet spot between each.
Anthemic game changers from one of the very best around, 100% rewind material.
