Deep sea, dreamy electronics phased through taut and soggy percussion is how RKSS likes his tunes and this latest offering for the consistently great Alien Jams differs not from that model. For the first ninety seconds of ‘Wave’ you’d be hard pressed to imagine a kick drum entering the fray, though when it does, and the chimes that accompany it, they make total sense to the hazy atmosphere that’s already there. The title track harks to mind a vision of a Submarine suddenly losing contact with the world above water and having to bravely navigate its way through unknown territories.
