New five track 12” from Minimal Violence on Canadian musical powerhouse 1080p. The fiercely percussive opening track sounds like Bandshell jamming with Powell, with a full three minutes going by before anything more than drums and vocal samples enter the mix. ‘Houses’ seems to channel a bit of a throwback vibe to the days of Skull Disco, whereas EP closer ‘Crete Calling’ is a great tool for the working DJ. Solid contemporary dance music from the 1080p yet again.
