One of the most revered names in the UK techno lineage, B12 were responsible for pioneering our take on Detroit’s ambient techno sound. The distinctly futurism-inspired atmosphere of their early work lives on in Deceased Unknown, albeit with a darker and bleaker tone than previously explored. The sprawling and disorientating ‘Don’t Look Down’ brings to mind some of the Modern Love releases, full of mystery and intrigue. EP closer ‘Minor Decay’ operates with the typical B12 blueprint, both heady yet dance floor friendly. Yet another strong and well rounded release which proves that B12 are back in full force.
