Sleaford Mods debut on Rough Trade with the post-punk verbal splatter of T.C.R. following the hugely well received Key Markets LP and pre-dating a live album for their hometown imprint Harbinger Sound.
Now while they are still angry, the beats have been have freshly sharpened edges that cut through the opposition with a precise viewpoint to getting the Mods' point across. The sounds and style hasn't changed since the last record, and the repetitious nature of barked vocals and rolling double barrelled beats is as strong as ever.
Good to see the Mods bringing a dose of street reality to the ranks of RT, a label that's now a major player, has its roots in the street realism of Subway Sect, The Raincoats & The Smiths.
