The Young Turks Associate and long-time John Talabot collaborator Pional steps out on his own with a release that has real pop sensibilities while standing firmly in the world of deep electronics-cum-house. His production style is reminiscent in ways to DJ Koze, with elongated synths that seldom lose their supremacy, complimented with delicate percussion in the form of cow bells and nifty clicks. Closing track ‘The Way That You Like’ features an astoundingly heartfelt epilogue from the acclaimed vocalist, Empress Of. Pional continues to create his own lane in music and its one that if found on a map, you should definitely be taking yourself.
