Sebastian Hoyos returns to Comeme with his exceptional new EP, drawing his attention to the dark side of his signature new wave charms with heavier, dubbed-out beats and searing reverbs. An impressive remix from Salons des Amateurs resident Tolouse Low Trax preserves the no-nonsense groove.

Is it heavy industrial machinery or the loud noise of a tropical jungle? Do we hear a swarm of exotic insects over our heads or the sound of permanent construction overshadowed by sky-scraping cranes?

This is “Los Muchachos”, the latest release of Sano, from Medellin, Colombia. A strangely swinging 12” with 2 heavy stomping downtempo tracks for those who know and those who want to learn - plus a mesmerizing “interview – remix|” produced by Toulouse, “Salon des Amateurs” resident and member of Kreidler. “Los Muchachos” is a house music short story – both tropical and industrial – about adolescence in Medellin, about kids selling their CD-Rs at undocumented raves, about drawing flyers and stealing kisses, testing substances and kicking stones, about bedroom production, about dance and more dreams and adventures of “Los Muchachos” - the kids.

On this fresh EP Sano explores distortion and slowness, beats that are pounding, beats that crawl and make you want to go down to the ground. Slow rhythms, that leave space for basslines and dense, humid atmospheres. “Los Muchachos” is jammed, is full of smoke, is both hot and minimal and unfolds like this.
