Damu burst onto the scene around the turn of the decade with an era defining release for Keysound, where effervescent melodies would burst the ether and genres were having post knocked on the front of them to give new definition. His releases have been scarce since then, though here he returns to the label that made his name with his and their very first tape release. And musically its decidedly fitting, with delays strapped firmly to the sounds it harbours. It has a communicative sense, due largely to the range of squeaking synths presented. Large parts of it are beatless, though when the drums do come, they’re off-kilter and almost drowned out by the sounds around them.
