Jam City makes a smart return to the fold with the Trouble mixtape, blending elements of the sweet, melodic pop of Dream A Garden with the hyperactive futurism of Classical Curves.

The nine track Trouble moves on from the vocalised pop of his recent work and adds a plate of armour to each track, building up each composition into a glowing fast paced sci-fi sound that is reminiscent of early Jam City club constructions.

The results sound like what we imagine The Smiths would of ended up sounding like if they hadn't written Panic but had stayed in the disco for a few more years.
