Paul Woolford’s current preference for twinkling house, underlay with jackin’ dancefloor rhythms is fantastically executed here on his latest offering for Will Saul’s ever impressive Aus Music Imprint. Where Part 1 sees idyllic strings build atop a rumbling bassline, Part 2 begins with an extraordinarily beautiful breakdown, where a plucked Harp takes the spotlight, before those same strings enter the fold and before you know it the rumbling bass comes into play and you’re back with a jackin’ groove that only makes you feel heavenly. It feels classic already, as is the case with much of Woolford’s output.
