Having turned in their debut release for Funkineven’s Apron records earlier in 2016, the Bristol based pairing L.M.Y.E (Lend Me Your Ears) come with more fire, this time coming closer to home on the scene defining Idle Hands Label. With the pair both meeting in the shop, and actually going on to record together above its locale, it seems only right that this complete beater of a release comes out on the label that’s helped launch the careers of so many Bristol acolytes. The title track manages to combine the best elements of 70s US funk with the panache of 90s UK garage coming out with a sound that feels entirely their own. Shanti Celeste, another of the key Idle Hands crew turns in a fantastically warm remix.
