Returning to Pinch’s seminal Tectonic label is the sure fire talent, Walton. The Manchester based producer with a proclivity for skirting along the lines between all flavours of UK club music leads here with a crushing dancefloor anthem that takes in melodic grime and tribal dubstep as well as a looping Riko Dan sample that’s cold to the bone. The flip side sees Walton take it at a steadier pace of 126bpm, with drums that are still packing heat, but not showing off about it and crisp hi-hats set the mood of the sound palette appropriately for the glockenspiel-like instrument that makes the proto R’n’B melody. A beauty is what it is.
