Seattle label Further Records present their fifth album of the year, this latest offering by Swedish musician Robin Mattila encompassing dark and contemplative textures, perhaps indicative of a summer spent in the furthest Northern hemisphere. Our personal highlight is ‘Manual Litany’, a thirteen minute droning piece which manages to firmly lock us into a hazy Monday morning trance. ‘Neverendless’ manages to conjure up aural imagery of desolate and ever-winding motorway lanes, devoid of vehicles and submerged in snow. Fans of Kanding Rey, Porter Ricks and some Vladislav Delay material will be all over this.
