Bleep

If you’re not familiar with Crotaphytus, you’d be forgiven considering the man behind the Exaltics project has only released the occasional CD ep via his own Solar One label. With Acanthosaura, however, he collects eight jams firmly rooted in the electro tradition of his better known alias. There is something tangibly different at play here; perhaps due to the soundtrack guise the album is operating under, purporting to transport the listener into a deep jungle scenario where they are being chased by giant lizards. Overall Acanthosaura is a great dark ambient/electro experience and a welcome collaborative effort with Solar One co-owner Nico Jagiella.
