Part of a new school of Peckham residents churning out absolutely terrific house music, FYI Chris is a name we’ll be getting used to a hearing for a while that’s for sure. After debuting on Peckham’s finest, Rhythm Section, he returns to the fold on the lesser known, though equally prolific in the quality it churns out, Lionoil. ‘Secret Bullshit’ is in essence a drum workout sat atop some pretty wildly bent synths. ‘For Now’ features some truly grooving parts, all finished in a warm hue. The drums on ‘Xenomorph’ are much more spacious, with the sample ‘It’s taking over me’ of course referring to rhythm.
