The Serpent (In Quicksilver)

Re-press of a rare early Harold Budd release, originally issued in 1981 on his own label, Cantil. Short but incisive piano meditations with carefully layered electronic washes and bursts of pedal steel guitar, conjuring mental images of Harold's desert upbringing. This is the real Cosmic Americana.

Abandoned Cities

Perhaps the darkest entry in his voluminous back catalogue. Two 20-minute plus tracks that evoke a post-apocalyptic soundworld with heavy synth drone and suspended single piano notes.

Through The Hill (w/ Andy Partridge)

1994 collaboration between Harold Budd and eccentric English pop genius Andy Partridge of XTC. Atmospheric instrumentals, off-kilter melodies and beguiling song poems presented over four sides of vinyl in a beautiful gatefold sleeve.
