This new post-punk/synth pop/electronica duo from Olympia, Washington, irk out a feeling more 80’s than George Michael. Mary-jane Dunphe’s vocal delivery is wonderfully compelling, emitting emotion into every corner of her vocal delivery. While on productions, David Jacques brings baritone bass and blinking synths back with a heady vengeance. Lead single, ‘Never Going to Die’ is as inspiring as the title would suggest, all warm and fuzzy guitars licking the ether of Dunphe’s roaring voice. Fans of New Order, Mogwai and the like will certainly be keen on this duo, who should have a bright, bright future.
