Si Begg, also know as Cabbageboy, S.I. Futures and Buckfunk 3000, has been a prolific producer over the last few decades, and for this one, he has decided to give something back, and has made this charity 11 track release Music For Refugees. A tough time and a tough subject to deal with, but the music isn't all sombre, and is certainly not the music for the quiet hour, this is brash in your face, make you feel alive and kick, kick, kicking. ‘Question the Nature of Your Orders’ is a definite highlight, the incessant snare hits and slowly rising synth line work in tandem to create a wall of energy. All profits of this release going to British Red Cross Refugee Appeal.
