Turning again to Melbourne and again to Prequel, Rhythm Section have definitely come up trumps with the latest offering of their relentless output. Opening with the truly masterful, ‘Saints’, which proceeds to name famed and cult, black figures from popular culture of years gone past. On ‘Walken’ we find crispy hi-hats and dubbed out trumpets competing for the spotlight shone their direction. The closing track, ‘You Shall Know the Truth’ isn’t afraid to be sombre. The wandering piano and electrifying synths create a sort of happy-sad madness that’s added to by the whooping vocals.
