Alter is the label operated by Luke Younger, perhaps better known by his Helm alias. Releasing on PAN, The Trilogy Tapes, Graham Lambkin's Kye imprint and Opal Tapes the man is well versed in experimental music labels and their operating. For the 27th release on Alter, Helm has chosen a four track EP by Nick Klein, whose recent split 7” on BANK with Maoupa Mazzocchetti delivers that chugging Beau Wanzer-esque techno sound. For his Alter EP it's more of the same, with lead track Chats With Lucy sure to become a firm favourite with fans of June, L.I.E.S and The Corner.
