All round underground cult fav Chris Douglas follows recent blinders for PAN and Ge-Stelle with the first full-length offering from his Rook Vallade alias, following an (understandably) hard to find lathe cut released by Dial back in 2000.

We still often pull out the achingly pain-filled Niaiw Ot Vile album - its context produced as tribute to a deceased friend resonated hard upon its arrival back in 2013, so having a new long player from Douglas is something we have been looking forward to with anticipation.

The great news is that it does not disappoint, much like the recent Bjarki LP Ae - the sound sculptures within pull a huge influence from the caustic torque of Autechre at their most industrial, yet given his history in the ambient techno scene, pull hard on the AI leanings of Incunabula and the esoteric techno of the Dice Man.

A great double slate offering of abstract electronica that will please any proto-industrialists, noise fiends and techno technicians across the genres.
