At the forefront of the Lisbon based kuduro scene is DJ Marfox, a mysterious afro-portuguese producer and disc jockey who takes his name from a Nintendo character. Lead by the label Principe and Marfox's tight knit crew, the Lisbon dance movement has perhaps been the most unique and singular sound in electronic dance musics progression over the past few years, drawing upon grime and uk funky as much it does rave or noise. This compilation features a range of genre-spanning tracks from DJ Marfox’s early years, many of which serve as much use to the discerning club DJ as they do the inquisitive listener.
