At first Innervisions seems an unlikely home for Marc Houle, though the Canadian utilises his knack for clever drum programming and creepy vocal work into something hypnotic and danceable, which seem to be the leading traits of releases on the label. The title track features a warbling bassline and glistening, slightly acid tinged synths, with an 80s vox style vocal sat neatly over them. On ‘I Don’t Want To Watch You Read’ Houle reels off all the things he’d rather do as a couple than what the title suggests. The Golden Filter and Israeli duo, Red Axes, provide remixes for this one.
