Gqom Oh! follow up the sold out Sound Of Durban comp with this new mixtape/soundtrack LP featuring the toughest talent from the scene, featuring unmissable new cuts from Dominowe, Formation Boyz, TLC Fam & Mafia Boyz.

The sound of Durban blends a raw percussive house undercurrent with complex layers of percussion laid overhead that place it somewhere in-between 02/03 Wiley Kat white labels and the more claustrophobic Principe sides. This fusion of genres/sounds/styles from around the globe is core to the Gqom Oh! sound, and while it echoes elements of these scenes it also has a unique but rough junglist flex worked into the drums that give it a seductive yet menacing edge.

Teaming up with the Rome-based collective Crudo Volta to release this mixtape, Gqom label don Nan Kolè compiled this mixtape by to soundtrack a documentary he is producing about Woza taxi life, the curation here is devastatingly on point, carefully selecting only the best of the best tracks that go a long way to showing off the different styles being produced within Durban, from Core Tribe through Sgubhu to Gqom.
