Killer new Djrum on 2nd Drop, as ever this 12" features some of the best footwork x jungle science around. LA finds Djrum on a more rave tip than we’ve come to expect from the usually deep and yearning paths he’s trodden in the past. Both tracks are full of elation, with A-side ‘LA’ fitted with some ‘oooh baaabaaay’ vocal loops for added wildness. Though it’s the synchronicity of the rave pads and violins that are the real stars of the track. ‘Abandon Me’ is built on choppy breaks and melancholically menacing chords with chipmunk vocals to boot. If you dug his Ilian Tape then this will knock your head off!
