It feels strange announcing a first for such an established producer and DJ, though here we have it, Cassy’s debut album Donna, out on Aus Music. It's classy, it's naturally grooving, it's full of real songs and it’s a wholly unpretentious thing of beauty. Born out of a relocation and subsequent reinvention within herself as a new mother, the album is a real marker in the life of the one they call Catherine Britton. Funky soul number ‘Strange Relationship’ is a real departure from what many might know Britton for, though it only makes you like her more for it.
