The first release on the newly formed ‘Neighbourhood’ imprint, is smack you in the face and see if you’re still breathing kinda tackle. Which is what we’ve come to expect from Randomer & Cadans in recent times. The heavily reverbed and pulsating drum work on ‘Pyramid’ makes for languid listening, with the added shakes and scrapes provide nightmarish atmospherics, in the vein of Blawan. The B-side ‘Anchor’ is just as pulsating as its predecessor, but its added synth work and vocal stabs meld together for a slightly less frightful affair. Look out for more to come from the label.
