First album from California post-rock instrumentalists Tarentel sees a welcome reissue. The slow, foreboding structure to composition that is often associated with Godspeed You! Black Emperor shines through here, with the inevitable crescendo of crashing drums commanding the narrative once all prior layers fall into place. To perhaps give further indication of the sound palette on offer here, label mates include Explosions in the Sky and Scottish rockers Mogwai.
